Inside_outside: an anatomy of the digital body

Digital bodies are aseptic and lack (material) depth; their glossy surfaces mostly appeal the eyes as candies. In this work in progress, I want to go under the avatar’s skin and try to confer them some visceral thickness. According to Didier Anzieu, skin and touch help form our psychological ego. When the eye is the only sense that can skim the surface, what type of relation are we forming with this body? And what if the inside comes to the surface and expose itself, how would we feel about our own body?
